AWP Network:  Founded by Mary Olushoga, AWP, which stands for African Women Power Network is one of the leading platform for African entrepreneurs. AWP has launched several initiatives to include the AWP Network Agropreneur Project, a training program helping women farmers hone their entrepreneurial skills, increase farming productivity, and household income. AWP also launched the DREAM project – a pitch competition for secondary school students in Lagos.

    One of my female students at Federal Polytechnic Oko who got divorced after many months of legal battle with her estranged husband, got a court order for the possession of her girl child but the man refused to obey the court order. The lady is been traumatised by the continued stay of the child with the man. The estranged husband is based in Kaduna while the lady is in Anambra state. She spoke to me about her plight as she have no other means of retrieving her child, hence this message.
